Chadwick Tyler (b. 1975) was raised in Valrico, a small town outside of Tampa, FL. Before turning to photography, he briefly attended the University of Tampa and held short careers in art direction and corporate advertising. In 2002 he was awarded a National Gold Addy for Design. Tyler began shooting in 2005, gaining basic technical competence under the guidance of Tampa based still-life photographer Larry Wittek. He quickly developed an intuitive process through experience, without formal training. Tyler has since photographed women’s fashion for a long list of well-known magazines, including: V, Exit, Tank, The Last Magazine, Joy Quarterly, Plastique, Qvest, Mirage, Elle & Nylon. Since late 2006 he has lived in Brooklyn, NY. This is his first gallery show.
